1953, WESTERN OUTDOOR NEWS is California’s only sportsman’s
weekly and the nation’s biggest weekly fishing and hunting newspaper.
Serving the interests of fishermen and hunters living in and around
California, it is published in both Northern California and Southern
California editions. Special focus supplements are included in 48 of
the 52 weekly issues: the Fred Hall Long Beach Show, International Sportsmen's Expo shows, Eastern Sierra
Trout Preview and the San Diego Sportfishing Guide are but a few of
these information-packed supplements. Editorial coverage includes both
freshwater and saltwater fishing throughout the state, as well as hunting.

Spotlight, Satellite Image, Tide Tables and Trout Plants. Our staff
of reporters provides weekly columns focused on saltwater fishing, bass

with all reports presenting the latest and most reliable information
available. Editorial coverage includes the Far West states of California,
Oregon and Washington, plus Alaska, Baja California and British Columbia.
Articles involve fishing for saltwater and freshwater species found
in the West, with facts and comments attributed to recognized authorities

is published nine times per year, with monthly issues for January,
February, March, April, May, and June; combined monthly issues for July/August,
